Nothing Left but Ignition

Workers in distress
used to
mumble,
whisper lamentations.
No longer
humble-
prices soar as meager
wages
tumble;
over empty plates,
stomachs
grumble.
Boss turns flesh or blood
so cheap to
gamble
from womb to tomb
until they
stumble
across a shining red path
seeking to un-
scramble
class consciousness and,
ultimately,
crumble
exploiting modes. Thus,
they strike, not
fumble.
In picket lines, they get
ready to
rumble!
