TO REBELYN BORN WHERE MANY OWES SO MUCH
How to make a happy poem from tragedy is a question
It was only two decades ago when the sun shone on your face and
The joy of your parent seems to last forever.
Now even darkness is not around to lull you in your sleep,
Yet reality teaches us the unpredictability when typhoon or tsunami is coming
And so poets are known to change tragedy into a parody to laugh at.
To those who tills but cannot rip,
To those who produces but cannot own,
To those who struggle but cannot be freed
Knows what you have undergone.
Your ashes reminds us of the joy of having you around could not last
That rage in your heart when you catch that last breath infect us all.
When there are so much who share your pain from far away lands.
Teaches us that in every tragedy lies understanding
And that justice is coming to those who seek it.
Perhaps it was etched together in your name. #
